In the current financial climate, people are being a lot more careful with their money so it's important that your stock catches their eye. We know you know how to run your own business; in fact, you probably know a lot more than we do. However, classifieds is what we do know about so here are five tips for you so you can make the most of your deal with us.

Use the Caravan Club

The Caravan Club need no introductions. They are the most respected caravan organisation in the world and Caravan Selecta has an exclusive partnership with them. Think about it this way, if you sell one caravan off the back of your caravan club listings, it’s paid for itself for at least a couple of years.

Keep Your Website Updated

I'm sure you know how we work…We scrape your website to put all your stock on ours. If you get a new caravan in then it's best to add to your website as soon as you get the chance. That means it'll get on Caravan Selecta sooner and therefore reach your customers quicker. Google also likes websites that are updated regularly so it could well help your own rankings too…

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

In the world of classifieds, you only get two chances to convince the customer they should buy your item so they need to be made the most of. The image is the first thing their eye will go to on the page so we can’t overstate the importance of good pictures. In fact, pictures will get you 8x more response. Have you got videos of your stock? We can deal with these too. Make sure these work in harmony with the description (see the next point); if you’ve mentioned something specific then include a photo.

Describe the Caravan/Motorhome in Detail

On your forecourt, you can strike up a rapport with the customer and answer their questions as they come up. You can’t do that so well online so make sure the description is detailed; put yourself in your customer’s shoes, think about what they would want to know and then answer it for them. Make it personable and if there's something special or unique about a particular item - shout about it. Remember, everything needs to be geared to get them to pick up that phone or send an email, and then you can work your magic and seal the deal.
