Top 5 Motorhomes at the Motorhome and Caravan Show
Search: in
The Motorhome and caravan show is the best place to preview all the 2012 caravans and motorhomes in one place and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Motorhomes tend to exist in a much wider price range than caravans and it’s fairly easy to see why. For this list we’ve excluded price from the decision making and it’s simply the ones that our staff enjoyed being in.

Elddis Aspire 255 - £49k

This 2 berth motorhome is a winner in our eyes. The fixed double bed and large living area made our staff believe you could spend a lot of time in it in great comfort. As with all new motorhomes for sale, the styling is excellent and feels very modern. The dark wood and black/silver appliances really look good. It must be said that the baby of the range, the 215 also caught our eye.

Geist Lift 736 - £64k (pictured)

The Geist name wasn’t very familiar to me but I was impressed by all their motorhomes at this year’s show. The one that I like most however is the Lift 736. This is by no means cheap but it seems worth it. The equipment levels are exactly what you’d expect and one thing you will notice is that the worktops are a little bit lower than expected which is excellent for people of a smaller size.

Adria Sonic 1700 ST - £63k

This Adria motorhome is an A-Class beauty that comes in at a great price. This is the top of the Sonic range and you can tell. If it’s just the two of you then you could spend months at a time in this. Four people are also well catered for with the drop down double bed. This motorhome is extremely well equipped, very airy and well built. We can’t believe it ‘only’ costs £63,000

Bailey Approach 740 Range

Regular Caravan Selecta users may have noticed that we were quite impressed by this. Bailey have put a lot of thought into everything and we can tell. The chassis is brand new and is considerably lighter, the plastics are all recycled and due to the construction, very light too. To be honest, we couldn’t choose a winner between the three models on show so the whole range is here.

Concorde Charisma 890M - £178k

The Concorde Charisma made a mark on all of our staff and to put describe it in one word: incredible. It’s prohibitively expensive for 99.9% of us but we had to admire the sheer luxury on offer and this was only the mid range model. You could spend months or even years living in this thing. It’s very comfortable, very large and has an air of quality.

Now where’s that lottery ticket…?
